Anyone Home?

A tiny documentary - VIDEO HERE.

The good folks at Anyone Home Ireland reached out to me to shoot a short interview about all things Small Change. The results can be seen on their Instagram page here.

"Anyone Home?" Seeks to showcase young Irish people who despite it all, have found opportunity on home soil. Given how much has been denied and forcefully taken away from youth and young adults in Ireland over the last decade, I believe its so important to regularly pause to take look at what people are doing and how they’re making the best of their creative outputs despite the many roadblocks, curveballs, challenges and discouragements. Its not always known as an Irish trait, but its important to cheer one another on.

Thanks so much to the lads for making the sun come out and capturing my house and the land looking so lovely. I’m hugely grateful for their professionalism and interest in what I’ve been up to, so big ups to Emily, Zoe and David.

Over the last number of decades, Ireland has seen the mass emigration of young people.
An unpredictable future can oftentimes lead to a feeling of unsettlement making it hard to call this Island our home.

We hope the creativity and drive of the people we have met will demonstrate that there is a silver lining and although the future is uncertain, there will always be a light on at home.

Our first series will premier 19th May - These videos will highlight the opportunistic individuals who utilised the lockdown to pursue their dreams. Lockdown was difficult on so many levels but these people showcased their perseverance in the most unlikely of times.

We want to express our gratitude again to Arianna for designing our beautiful logo - we are forever grateful!

Highlights of the series for me thus far are Bloom the Art Project, Certified Proud, Mercy & Salvation and of course, Benjamin’s Hot Chicken (now located at the Vintage Inn Dublin and have an outrageous vegan option).
