FAQs
How long does it take? The homes can be built in as little as 12 weeks from deposit paid for simplified cabins. Fully bespoke units can take anywhere from 3 - 8 months depending on the design.
What’s Included in the 65,000 unit? A ready to move into tiny home with everything you need to move in on delivery day, other than bedding and blinds.
Can I see one you’ve built? Yes, if a tiny house is the right fit for you, you’re more than welcome to visit our site located in Cloughjordan, North Tipperary, where you can either see some work in progress builds or a previously completed unit pending availability.
Are they easy to heat? Absolutely. A combination of four systems of membranes and insulation makes these homes incredibly easy to heat. A previous 6 metre model fitted with a A++/A+++ air-to-air heat system uses less than 4kWh per day during the coldest days of the year - that’s about €1 a day energy costs during sub-zero temperatures in Ireland.
How small are they? How are they moved? Our units on wheels are always under 4 metres tall (internal height of 3.2 metres allowing for comfortable loft) and 2.55 metres wide for road restrictions. Lengths can run anywhere from 5 metres to 8 metres for these units, which can be towed using a jeep with 3.5 tonne towing capacity.
We can also supply larger units without wheels, which we can move and position on site using a crane. These units can be 3 metres wide and up to 13 metres long. We can tailor sizes to your needs.Do I need planning permission? Most units we supply fit within 24 square metres, and we can work with you on planning.
Are there ways to pull back on cost, or is there a lower cost version? We always try to meet you where you’re at, and thus we provide a range of options, including shells, builders finishes and occaisonally refurbished cabins.
A Shell is a unit without the interior fit out, so no kitchen, electrics, plumbing, bathware or furniture, but a fully weatherproof and road worthy unit, ready for delivery.
Are custom options available?
Absolutely. Tiny spaces work best when they’re tailored to the user’s individual lifestyles. We love collaborating to create the ultimate space for clients, blending practicality, functionality with aesthetics. We believe that for a house to be a successful home, it must be functional, affordable and beautiful. How long do they last? They last a lifetime. The timber facades require periodic maintenance depending on how exposed the house’s location is to wind and rain, e.g. re application of wood stain or wood treatment every few years. Beyond than you just need to wash down the outside every now and then to clear the cobwebs.
